Over the past two decades, PHP has evolved significantly, yet it remains an undervalued language. As a result, modern approaches and tools often enter its ecosystem with a delay.

One such tool is CEL (common expression language), a specialized expression language created by Google and widely used in rule systems and logic-evaluation workflows.

Buhta’s technology stack includes several programming languages, but the core product logic is built in PHP. This is why the company decided to help accelerate the arrival of CEL in the PHP ecosystem and became a sponsor of developing a full native PHP implementation.
